Dr. Hannah Leonard

Dr. Hannah Leonard

Veterinarian

Dr. Hannah Leonard is originally from Rocky Mount, NC and has lived in the area her whole life. She studied biology and chemistry at the University of North Carolina Greensboro for her undergraduate before she earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine at North Carolina State University. She has been working in the veterinary industry since 2016 and loves practicing preventative medicine and working with people to help their pets feel their best.

Dr. Leonard has three dogs; an 11-year-old border collie named Maybe (named from Carly Rae Jepsen’s song “Call me Maybe”), who is the boss of the house, a crazy husky-shepherd named Ghost, and a rescue mixed breed named Ham who is a snuggle bug and acts like a pig. She also has two orange cats, Punkin and Tater, and an albino corn snake. Dr. Leonard loves the range of environment that North Carolina offers from beaches, mountains, lakes, woods, and farmlands. She enjoys being in the outdoors hiking, camping, and kayaking with her dogs, gardening, reading fictional books, and playing video games.

Dr. Breanna Halisky

Dr. Breanna Halisky

Veterinarian

A 2018 veterinary school graduate from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Breanna Halisky was first exposed to and took an interest in veterinary medicine when she worked at an animal shelter in the DC area for several years after graduating college. That experience led her to understand her passion for working with animals and she knew it was the only thing she could see herself doing forever. Aside from making sick pets feel better, she enjoys educating and empowering owners, so they can make the best decisions for the health and wellness of their pets.

Dr. Halisky enjoys anything and everything outdoors – running, hiking, and CrossFit. She also enjoys cooking and retail therapy – but most of all, spending time with her family.
